About the event
Hildegard was a remarkable visionary, writer, composer, and Benedictine abbess who lived in the 12th century. She was a woman of remarkable talents, writing numerous texts on theology, botany, and medicine in a time when these subjects were considered an exclusively male domain. She also composed music and poetry that is still considered some of the greatest in the history of the church. For this retreat we will explore some of the life and work of St Hildegard and how we might bring sacred creativity into our own lives. Retreat facilitator: Aluminé Andrew
