Our Story

Journey Centre Christchurch is an independent group of people who are exploring and transforming their spirituality through contemplative practices. We are not a church or institution, but a safe space for all to Journey together.

 

 After discovering Journey Centre in Santa Rosa four years ago, Aluminé Andrew has been aspiring to establish the same safe, welcoming, contemplative space here in Christchurch. Both Aluminé and her long-time friend Jo van den Bogaert, trained as Spiritual Directors and have since been developing the contemplative space in Christchurch. They now lead retreats, events and provide spiritual direction, aiding in spiritual exploration and transformation, rooted in the contemplative tradition.
